My Favorites

Some of the older people will remember "favorites".  Below you will find a list of my favorite books, podcasts, and my other favorite things.

Podcast

Probably the best real estate podcast. After reading Brrrr by David Greene, I started listening to Biggerpockets. I listened and watched every episode and even went back a year and listened to all those also. This led me to Grant Cardone, Rich Dad Poor Dad, and Steve Trang of Real Estate Disruptors. Basically, it all started there for me.

Either you love him or you hate him. I love him for the most part. Reading, "Be obsessed or be average", gave me permission to blaze my own trail. I then watched all of his sales training videos on YouTube for free. I don't know that I like getting 20 emails a day from his team trying to sell me something but nobody can deny that his techniques do work. These days he has gotten a little too cheesy for me but he is one of the best marketers and funnel builders. He is also a master at increasing revenue in multi-family and then pulling out cash tax-free by refinancing.

Nobody makes me feel better! Jay's podcast, "On Purpose" is great. Jay is a former monk who makes me think about things that I never considered before. He has in-depth interviews with many interesting people. It really makes me a better person and I thank him for all he does.

My latest favorite listen. No BS. Believes in compassion, empathy, and accountability. Attention expert. Gary has proven himself to be able to quickly adapt as the world's attention shifts. He is a marketing and business powerhouse who creates a ton of content. GaryVee is his social media persona. You can find links to Gary on all the different platforms at the bottom of this page.

After graduating from Vanderbilt like his father wanted he quit his job and took off across the country to open his own gym. After having some success at his gyms, he started flying to other gyms to run promotions and get them customers. After many ups and downs, he realized that selling the info on how to get more customers was much more profitable. Author of, "$100M offers" which talks about making an offer they would feel stupid saying no to. Alex makes understanding extremely difficult business concepts easier. I enjoy his podcast, "The Game"

Former software programmer turned sales coach, wholesaler, creator, crypto whale, and entrepreneur. His podcast, "Real Estate Disruptors" talks with people in the real estate industry who are trying new and cutting-edge ways to use technology to help be more efficient and profitable.
